Xenical Review

Xencial ReviewWhat is Xenical?

Xenical, Orlistat, or Alli is a prescription diet pill that was developed by the company Roche. This diet pill blocks some of the fat that you intake and keeps it from being absorbed into your body. Since the body can’t absorb the fat after taking Xenical the excess fat is then expelled from the body through bowel movements.

What will Xenical do for me?

Update* On May 26,2010 the FDA has included new safety information on Xenical to warn the public about cases of severe liver injury that has been reported with the use of this medication.

Xenical is a prescription drug used by those who are extremely overweight and have the Body Mass Index of over 30. It is supposed to help those who have heart problems, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Xenical works by blocking up to a third of the fat hidden within the food that is ingested.

It is dangerous to buy Xenical on the Internet or from vendors outside of the U.S. These imitation pills may contain dangerous ingredients. Samples purchased on the Internet have been found to contain traces of sibutramine (Meridia), which is a prescription weight loss medication that has do for medangerous side effects for certain people.

You should not take Xenical if you are pregnant. Weight loss is never recommended for anyone that’s pregnant, even if you are overweight or obese. You should not take Xenical if you are allergic to orlistat, have gallbladder problems, or chronic malabsorption syndrome (an inability to absorb food and nutrients properly).

Xenical shouldn’t be used by ages 12 to 18 without the advice of a doctor. It should only be used by people for whom it was prescribed for. You should never share Xenical with anyone else, especially with someone who has a history of eating disorders.

Xenical is a prescription drug, thus you should take it exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

You must be above a certain weight class in order to be prescribed this drug. Taking it while you are not overweight can lead to dangerous consequences. It may hinder the process of some nutrients being absorbed into your body and it’s advisable to take some sort of daily multivitamin alongside this Xenical. Consultation with a doctor or other healthcare professional is a must.

Recommended Dosage for Xenical

Take Xenical during or within 1 hour after a meal that contains some fat (no more than 30% of the calories for that meal). It is usually taken 3 times daily.Dosage

Your doctor may recommend you to take some sort of vitamin or mineral supplement while taking Xenical. This medication can make it harder for your body to absorb fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. Follow your doctor's instructions about the type of multi-vitamin or mineral supplement to use.

Avoid a diet that is high in fat. High-fat meals taken with Xenical can increase your risk of unpleasant side effects on your stomach or intestines.

Conclusion for Xenical:

DisapprovalWell…Xenical is not recommended for someone who wants to lose a little bit of weight. It’s only recommended for those who are significantly overweight and may be suffering from weight related problems. With its long list of side effects I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you think you can meet the criteria for this product you must talk to your doctor before taking Xenical. However, if you are someone who wants to lose weight more safely and quickly I would recommend another diet product.
